Learning outcomes:
The qualification holder will be able to: 
  • demonstrate understanding of cultural and civilisational particularities and differences, 
  • critically assess intercultural texts, 
  • think synthetically and analytically, 
  • demonstrate knowledge of a broad spectrum of research methods,
  • write on selected cultural/social themes from selected fields in a considered manner, 
  • carry out autonomous and team-based research and/or applied work on a selected topic, 
  • transfer knowledge into everyday practice, 
  • present the results of research in oral and written form, 
  • work and act constructively and in a considered manner in a multicultural environment,
  • operate autonomously in a relevant Asian environment and critically consider phenomena deriving from the environment in question,
  • communicate and provide cultural mediation between subjects from different environments and help overcome intercultural differences.

Assesment and completion:
Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to progress from the first to the second year, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the curriculum and individual syllabuses for the first year, for a total of 60 credits. In order to progress from the second to the third year, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the curriculum and individual syllabuses for the second year, amounting to 60 credits, in other words a total of 120 credits for the first and second years.
