  • a completed first-cycle academic higher education programme in the same disciplines (Croatian studies, Serbian studies, Macedonian studies, etc.) (180 credits); or
  • a completed first-cycle academic higher education programme in the same disciplines (Croatian studies, Serbian studies Macedonian studies, etc.) (240 credits); in this case up to 60 credits may be recognised, depending on the first-cycle course units completed; or
  • any completed first-cycle academic higher education programme in another field, if prior to enrolment the candidate has completed course units essential for second-cycle studies; these are determined with reference to how different the field is, and consist of up to 60 credits; or
  • a completed pre-Bologna undergraduate programme in Croatian, Serbian and Macedonian languages and literatures; Article 49 ZviS-D provides that a number of completed course units will be recognised for candidates; or
  • any completed professional higher education programme under the former programme, if prior to enrolment the candidate has completed course units essential for second-cycle studies; these are determined with reference to how different the field is, and consist of 10 to 60 credits.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to progress from the first to the second year of the second-cycle two-subject study programme in South Slavonic studies, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the curriculum and individual syllabuses for the first year of both study disciplines, for a total of 60 credits.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must successfully complete all course units prescribed by the study programme and individual subject syllabuses, for a total of 60 credits. Since this is a two-subject study programme, in order to complete the overall programme students must also complete all course units in the other discipline, consisting of 60 credits, for a total of 120 credits.
