Learning outcomes:

Certificate holders will be able to:

  • organise and perform all types of goods transport, both nationally and internationally,
  • organise and perform all types of passenger transport, ensure the comfort and safety of passengers and interact with passengers,
  • select or determine suitable means of transport with regard to safety regulations for vehicle use, reception of freight, vehicle efficiency and the effect of the laws of physics on vehicle movement,
  • form cargo units, package, electronically label and declare goods,
  • use various techniques and devices to fix and tie cargo;
  • drive in a rational manner based on safety regulations,
  • use and perform simple maintenance on means of conveyance, means of transport and handling devices according to the manufacturer's instructions,
  • use and complete prescribed transport and logistics documentation,
  • demonstrate knowledge of national and international legal sources relating to goods handling, transport and logistics,
  • apply the principles of preventive and defensive behaviour in traffic and ensure safety in all transport sub-systems and logistics processes,
  • use electronic systems to guide and track passenger flow and cargo flow logistics and warehousing logistics systems,
  • demonstrate understanding of the roles of entrepreneurship, costs management and calculations,

  • organise and implement hire car transport.

Certificate holders build on their key vocational knowledge and abilities with key general knowledge in line with national standards.

Assesment and completion:

Students' vocational abilities and skills and the fulfilment of conditions to obtain credits in accordance with the relevant education programme are established through verification and assessment. Assessment of students also takes into account non-formally acquired knowledge, which must be adequately demonstrated. Students are assessed using grades from 5 (excellent) to 1 (inadequate).

Progress:

Adult learners may progress to the next year if at the end of the academic year they achieve a passing grade in all general education subjects and vocational modules from the school's operational curriculum for the year and have completed all extracurricular activities and all work placement requirements.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme and obtain the qualification, adult learners must obtain passing grades in: general education subjects, compulsory technical modules, elective technical modules and the open part of the curriculum. They must also complete extracurricular activities and work placement requirements and pass a school-leaving examination.
A condition for sitting the final examination is a valid driving licence for motor vehicles of category C1, C, D1 or D.
The school-leaving examination comprises a written and oral examination in Slovene, a service and an oral presentation.
