  • master knowledge of basic natural science/engineering contents, enabling their implementation in basic specialised and elective subjects and further development in transport studies at the postgraduate (master's) level,
    -master basic knowledge of social sciences contents from the fields of economics, law, management and a foreign language, enabling their application in problem-solving and management in transport, traffic and transport logistics processes in practice, and their further development in a postgraduate (master's) programme in transport and traffic studies,
    -master basic and applied knowledge from subjects in the fields of engineering, computer science, information science, intelligent transport systems, transport and traffic engineering, enabling their implementation in specialised technological subjects for the application of this knowledge in addressing problems of the exploitation of transport infrastructure, means of transport, the organisation and technology of individual branches of transport, and their further development,
    -master specific knowledge from the fields of operations research, probability and statistics, transport safety, environmental protection in transport, etc. for the implementation of transport, traffic and logistics processes in a rapid, safe, reliable, rational and environmentally friendly manner, and in order to build on it at a higher level of education.

Assesment and completion:

Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to progress to the next year, full-time and part-time students must have completed the course units prescribed by the study programme (lectures, practical classes, written tests, seminars, etc.) and gained the prescribed number of credits from the study programme by passing examinations (50 first-year credits to enrol in the second year and 60 first-year credits and at least 50 second-year credits to enrol in the third year. In exceptional circumstances, students need 36 first-year credits to enrol in the second year and a total of at least 90 credits to enrol in the third year).
