  • plan and design components of complex IT systems such as modern technology of developing business applications and data modelling, use of programming development tools, security technology, operating systems and networks, modern methods and techniques of mastering business processes,
  • be aware of the security aspects of the issue of e-business,
  • recognise problems that can be formulated by mathematical means and the correct approach to resolving them,
  • master information that is important in decision-making, and demonstrate familiarity with systems to support decisions and the selection of relevant methods of deciding in resolving business problems in the working environment,
  • demonstrate familiarity with the basics of auditing business information systems (BIS), analyse fraudulent business in the BIS and assess risk in BIS planning,
  • demonstrate advanced knowledge of modern forms, types and manifested forms of computer crime of management personnel in market activities of commercial companies and other organisations,
  • plan, collect and analyse mass data,
  • select appropriate statistical methods in formulating specific statistical analyses and perform substantive interpretation of their results.

Assesment and completion:
Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

Students progress to the second year if they have completed at least 45 ECTS credits from first-year subjects. To progress to the third year students must have at least 45 credits from the second year and have passed all first-year examinations.
