Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to advance from the 1. to 2. year of the doctoral study programme, students must complete all the requirements in the amount of at least 50 ECTS. Candidates, who have completed all the requirements of the organised courses in 1. and 2. year, can progress to the 3. year of the postgraduate doctoral study programme. The final, third year is intended for individual research work and the production and defence of the doctoral thesis.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the doctoral programme, candidates need to successfully complete all the prescribed requirements and successfully defend the doctoral thesis and obtain a total of 180 ECTS. Another requirement is also the publication of at least one scientific article in the field of expertise of the doctoral thesis in a SCI indexed journal. The doctoral student needs to be the primary author of the article. The scientific article needs to be published or accepted for publication before defending the doctoral thesis.
