Subject-specific competences

- demonstrate practical knowledge of work organisation and leadership of cultural activities, facilities and projects in all phases, from the initial planning, through performance to final evaluation.
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
In order to progress to the second year of university study programme Sociology of Culture students must fulfil study requirements of first year in the extent of 90 % of credits, prescribed in the syllabus (54 out of 60 credits).
In order to progress to the third year of university study programme Sociology of Culture students must fulfil study requirements of second year in the extent of 90 % of credits, prescribed in the syllabus (54 out of 60 credits) of the second year, which together with 100 % of requirements of the first year (60 credits) means 114 credits.
In case of exceptional circumstances (laid down in the Statute of the University of Ljubljana, Article 153) and on the basis of a granted application students who have fulfilled 85 % of requirements (accumulated 51 credits) can enrol in the higher year. Such enrolment is decided by the Committee on Student Affairs and Guidance, whereby the department can give an advisory opinion.
Second-cycle master's study programmes (SQF level 8)
In order to complete the first-cycle study Sociology of Culture candidates must fulfil all the obligations, laid down by the study programme (180 credits) and curricula of the subjects, included in the programme. Candidates complete the studies with an oral defence of a written bachelor’s thesis.
