Learning outcomes:

Certificate holders will be able to:

• plan and organise their own work;
• carry out diagnoses and localise and eliminate faults in propulsion units and other machinery in agricultural, utilities and civil engineering contexts with the help of modern devices;
• carry out the set-up, maintenance and repair of mechanical assemblies and installations, electric and electronic and hydraulic pneumatic installations in propulsion units and other machinery in agricultural, utilities and civil engineering contexts;
• autonomously and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of propulsion units and other machinery and plants in agricultural, utilities and civil engineering contexts;
• use information and communication technology for communication and to plan and organise autonomous, safe, economical work and work processes in their professional field;
• work in a group and communicate in writing and orally with co-workers, and customers, using basic professional terminology;
• act responsibly in the workplace to ensure their own occupational safety and health, protect the environment and use energy and materials rationally;

Elective:

• diagnose, set and regulate the working parameters of tractors, propulsion units, trailers and working machinery;
• assemble, maintain and repair plants and equipment in agriculture and horticulture;
• set up, prepare and provide services with agricultural and horticultural machinery, and keep records;
• repair and maintain construction machinery and utilities machinery and plants;
• carry out technological processes for forming and joining metallic and non-metallic materials;
• carry out technological processes in facilities that process alternative energy sources and materials;
• diagnose the state of tyres and rims and maintain and repair them using modern tools and instruments;
• diagnose, set-up, connect, regulate and maintain electronic and electro-hydraulic installations and systems.
Certificate holders build on their key vocational knowledge and abilities with key general knowledge in line with national standards.

Assesment and completion:

Students' vocational abilities and skills and the fulfilment of conditions to obtain credits in accordance with the relevant education programme are established through verification and assessment. Assessment of students also takes into account non-formally acquired knowledge, which must be adequately demonstrated. Students are assessed using grades from 5 (excellent) to 1 (inadequate).

Progress:

Students may progress to a higher year if at the end of the academic year they achieve a positive score in all general education subjects and technical modules for the year as set out in the school’s operational curriculum, and have completed all extracurricular activities and practical on-the-job training, or progress on the basis of a programme faculty decision. For students with individual learning agreements, passing an intermediate test is a condition for progression from the second year to the third year.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme and obtain the qualification, adult learners must obtain passing grades in: general education subjects, compulsory technical modules, elective technical modules and the open part of the curriculum. They must also complete extracurricular activities and work placement requirements and pass a school-leaving examination.

The school-leaving examination comprises a written and oral examination in Slovene, a service and an oral presentation.
