In accordance with Article 38a and Article 16 of the transitional provisions of the Higher Education Act, anyone who has:

  • completed a first-cycle study programme in the amount of 180 ECTS in the field of health sciences.
  • completed a professional higher study programme in the field of health sciences before the ZVIS amendment, in the amount of 180 ECTS.
  • completed the study programme for obtaining a university degree in health sciences - the programme Health Education (or professional higher study programme Nursing 180 ECTS + specialization in the scope of 60 ECTS in the field of health sciences), before the ZVIS amendment, in the amount of 240 ECTS, he is recognized 50 ECTS. In the first year the candidate has 30 ECTS aknowledged, the candidate must complete the following subjects: Philosophical foundations for scientific research and research methods, Therapeutic communication in health care and Writing scientific works and the transfer of applied knowledge to the clinical environment. In the second year, students are awarded 20 ECTS, of which it is mandatory to complete both courses in the chosen field of study and a master's thesis.
  • completed a study programme for obtaining a university education (or higher education study programme 180 ECTS + specialization 60 ECTS) in other professional fields (other health sciences, social sciences, humanities, social work) before the ZVIS amendment, in the amount of 240 ECTS , he is recognized 30 ECTS. ECTS are recognized in the first year. He must complete the following compulsory subjects: Philosophical Foundations for Scientific Research and Research Methods, Therapeutic Communication in Health Care, and Writing Scientific Papers and Transferring Applied Knowledge to the Clinical Environment. In the second year he must complete all 60 ECTS.

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

Students progress to the second year if they collect at least 40 ECTS with the completed obligations of the first year. A student who has not completed all the obligations set out in the study programme may repeat the year once during his / her studies, provided that he / she has completed at least half of the obligations required for promotion to a higher year. Student status may be extended in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Act.

To complete the study programme, the student of the master's study programme must complete all the obligations specified in the program and collect 120 ECTS.
