The qualification holder will be able to:

General competences:

• Ability to analyze, synthesize, anticipate and plan solutions and consequences in complex professional fields, even in new and unknown circumstances with a broad (multidisciplinary) approach, the ability to combine knowledge and solve complex situations, independent and autonomous, systematic and critical assessment of complex situations in health care ved.
• Ability to make an innovative contribution to the development and application of new research-related ideas.
• Autonomy in professional work and in making professional decisions.
• Ability to critically self-assess and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of selected methods and procedures; ability to act even in the case of simple and incomplete information, but with regard to social and ethical responsibility associated with the introduction of knowledge and decision-making.
• Communication skills to operate in an international environment; the ability to explain decisions, as well as the knowledge and reasons on which they are based, in a clear and unambiguous way to professional and non-professional audiences.
• Compared to undergraduate graduates, it demonstrates a more in-depth and specialized understanding, a broader academic perspective, and new competences.
• Demonstrating an understanding of research work in the field of health sciences and competence for active research work.

• Ability to analyze the processes of health policy in Slovenia and the EU and the analysis of the connection between economic aging in connection with aging.
• Ability to form a broader perspective in understanding the intertwining of different risk factors, different environments and characteristics of the individual in the pathogenesis of individual diseases, as well as the importance of the wider social environment in providing conditions for maintaining and restoring health.
• Ability to educate, to raise awareness to maintain  health and well-being of a healthy and sick population, social community, groups and individuals.
• Ability to understand approaches and problems in the implementation of public health programmes in practice.
• Ability to identify the critically ill and implement the most urgent measures to prevent deterioration.

Subject–specific competences:

• Ability to use models of health sciences and the ability to study concepts related to the art and science of health sciences.
• Ability to monitor, critically assess and apply modern development trends (European and global) in the field of organization and management, as an important component of health care, health policies and public health care.
• Ability to organize, plan and control the operation of processes and lead health teams at all levels of health care, with the common fundamental goal of improving the quality of health care.
• Ability to study, design, develop and implement modern solutions in the field of organizing, planning and supervising the operation of health sciences processes and leading health teams using scientific methods and procedures.
• Ability of personal and professional development and selfless transfer of the mentioned skills and knowledge to the employees in the medical team, as well as the ability to act collectively.
• Ability to think and act in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary work environment and team.
• Ability to actively engage in research and professional work.
