The qualification holder will be able to:
(general competences)

• apply knowledge in practice and solve problems originally and creatively in new or unusual contexts,
• critically analyse in depth, synthesise and anticipate solutions and consequences,
• demonstrate mastery of research methods, procedures and processes and undertake in-depth critical and self-critical assessment,
• perform professional work autonomously,
• develop communication skills and abilities, demonstrate proficiency (cooperation, coordination, management, co-creation) in communication in the international environment and with experts in other fields,
• demonstrate a capacity for ethical reflection and a commitment to professional ethics, assume personal and social responsibility connected to the application of knowledge acquired,
• show cooperativeness and work in a group (including in an international environment),
• use sources and quote them appropriately (Harvard method),
• integrate knowledge and demonstrate mastery of the complexity encountered in professional work,
• clearly communicate conclusions and knowledge to a specialist and non-specialist public,

(subject-specific competences)

• demonstrated in-depth and detailed understanding of the theoretical and clinical principles of their own psychotherapeutic approach, and their relationship with general psychotherapeutic principles,
• demonstrate thorough understanding at the general level of other main approaches,
• demonstrate, evaluate and autonomously apply research methods relevant to all approaches, and show a critical attitude towards "objective" research within humanities models,
• formulate and apply a model of psychosocial assistance in accordance with their own approach,
• develop hypotheses and generative, creative responses to clinical situations and analyse psychotherapeutic interventions,
• work successfully in a group and/or as a co-therapist, reflect on the effectiveness of group work and improve it on the basis of the results of this reflection,
• use critical reflection and continuous supervision in order to assess and improve the effectiveness both of their own work with clients and of the work of others,
• adopt a critical attitude towards their own approach, assess its limits and compare it with other alternative approaches,
• build on the constructed critical evaluation of the implications of the issues of culture, race, gender and sexual orientation,
• research, reflect on and supervise their own personal involvement in the psychosocial assistance procedures that they help create and lead,
• autonomously use sources for learning and demonstrate skills in the management and integration of information,
• document their own clinical work and present it, with critical reflection, to the specialist and nonspecialist public for discussion and mutual learning,
• document and analyse the results of supervision and use them in subsequent psychosocial work,
• help create solutions to clinical problems and manage complex, unpredictable and special situations creatively,
• successfully predict and manage the consequences of the solutions generated,
• continue learning, including in the sense of self-directed further professional training,
• synthesise their own integration of theory, clinical practice and experiences of the process of personal growth,
• collaborate as part of a team both with client systems and with professionals (including experts from other disciplines),
• exercise autonomy in professional practice,
• demonstrate awareness and show ethical and professional responsibility as a psychosocial assistance counsellor, demonstrate mastery of the implications of ethical questions and dilemmas, including those tied to specific psychotherapeutic approaches.
