The conditions for enrollment in the first year are:

  • diploma of a first-cycle higher education study programme in the field of nursing (in the amount of 180 ECTS credits),
  • diploma of a higher education study programme in the field of nursing before the amendment to the Higher Education Act (Official Gazette, RS, No. 101/04),
  • diploma of a higher education study programme of the first level from other professional fields or diploma of a higher education study programme before the amendment to the ZViS (Official Gazette, RS, No. 101/04):
    • medicine, social sciences, humanities, social and business sciences (in the range of 180 ECTS credits or more).

Individuals who are already involved in work environments and have the necessary knowledge and experience (individuals already working in the field of health planning and education, care workers, teachers, managers in companies, volunteers) will also be able to enroll in the study programme. The list of competences provided by the programme will provide students with quality knowledge from a variety of fields. The selection of candidates for study will be based on academic achievement and professional experience. In addition to the above, there will be additional elements of assessment for the admission of candidates to the study programme:

  • the scope and quality of the candidate's existing knowledge,
  • the extent and quality of the candidate's existing experience,
  • securing a place and career development in the field of health promotion,
  • ensuring the heterogeneity of health promotion students,
  • ensuring an optimal ratio between the number of students and the capacity of the faculty.

Students of other fields of study must pass a differential exam in the amount of up to 10 ECTS in the field of missing subjects (basic knowledge of human activity in the period of health and disease), which will be determined at the individual level at the Commission for Study and Student Affairs and the FZJ Senate. The student takes differential exams during their studies and they are not conditions for enrollment in the programme.

Subject-specific competences:

  • in the field of pedagogical methodology (it is focused on problem solving, an active and personal approach to teaching and applied research),
  • introduces a European dimension into the concept of health promotion (exchange of information in the European space - associations, federations, organizations, internationally comparable study programmes),
  • emphasizes global societal issues (inequalities, the importance of salutogenesis, autonomy, empowerment, the importance of cooperation and the optimization of resources),
  • emphasizes the involvement of different actors and the development of quality.

 

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

Students will progress to the second year if they complete at least 40 ECTS by completing the obligations of the first year. The subjects that must be taken within at least 40 ECTS are: Research Methods, Fundamentals of Public Health, Fundamentals of Health Promotion and Work Methods. During the study, students will be guided by their study interests and guided by a tutor. If a student does not pass 40 ECTS, he / she may progress exceptionally if he / she proves justifiable reasons with evidence, but he / she cannot progress without the listed three first year subjects (Research Methods, Fundamentals of Public Health, Fundamentals of Health Promotion and Work Methods).

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

The students prepare a master's thesis and defends it after completing all obligations. The condition for the completion of studies are completed obligations, preparation and defense of a master's thesis.
