  • a completed professional higher education programme, adopted before 11 June 2004, in a relevant field of Slovene language and literature; or
  • a completed professional higher education programme adopted before 11 June 2004 in one of the fields listed in the second indent, if prior to enrolment the candidate has completed course units essential for further study consisting of 40 credits.

  • demonstrate understanding of the interconnection and functioning of linguistic devices used in different types of literary texts (stylistics),
  • functionally use available technologies in the analysis of literature,

  • demonstrate appropriate understanding of the position of Slovene literature in intercultural communication,
  • raise awareness of literature and the function of language as important elements of civic consciousness,
  • formulate appropriate positions with regard to civic education and the Slovene language as one of its fundamental components.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to progress to the second year, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the study programme for the first year in compulsory modules, for a total of 48 credits.
