  • demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the history of the discipline and of the origin, importance and critiques of the fundamental concepts of the discipline, and familiarity with the current dilemmas and modern theoretical scope of the discipline,
  • demonstrate mastery of methods of research and analysis and understanding of the central concepts of the theory and philosophy of the science and the principal theoretical models for the interpretation of empirically collected material,
  • demonstrate familiarity with interdisciplinary approaches and integrate knowledge from different fields,
  • read technical texts and write various forms of scholarly and technical texts,
  • demonstrate the methodological and conceptual skills required for critical analysis of concepts and phenomena in the domestic and foreign environments and of processes at the local, regional and global levels,

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to progress from the first to the second year of a second-cycle two-subject study programme, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the curriculum and individual syllabuses for the first year, for a total of 60 credits.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the study programme and the syllabuses of individual subjects, for a total of 60 credits. Since this is a two-subject study programme, in order to complete the overall programme students must also complete all course units in the other discipline, amounting to 60 credits, for a total of 120 credits.
