Learning outcomes:
Certificate holders will be able to: 
  • plan and organise their own work,
  • independently perform technological procedures based on a farm production plan,
  • perform plant production operations in accordance with the principles of plant and environmental protection,
  • tend domestic animals in accordance with ethological principles,
  • perform work with agricultural machinery, with devices, tools and implements and perform basic maintenance work in accordance with the principles of safety at work,
  • harvest, transport and store agricultural products,
  • prepare crops and agricultural products for sale,
  • make simple calculations and sell agricultural crops, products and services,
  • cooperate in a group and communicate with co-workers,
  • use information and communication technology to search, process and evaluate data in their work,
  • act responsibly at the work place to ensure their own safety and health at work and to protect the environment,

Elective: 

  • production, harvesting, preserving and storage of fodder plants,
  • performing work setting up a permanent plantation,
  • cultivating and tending fruit plants,
  • cultivating and tending field crops and vegetables,
  • domestic animal husbandry and preparation of animals and animal products for processing and sale,
  • cultivation and tending of grapevines and grape processing,
  • care of horses and their preparation for various purposes, 
  • performing services using agricultural mechanisation and maintenance and implementation of minor repairs,
  • performing basic regeneration and tending work in forests,
  • implementing biogas harnessing technology,
  • maintenance of biological and plant treatment installations and compost heaps,
  • production of vegetables in a protected space,
  • maintenance of recreational and sports green areas,
  • performing technological procedures in facilities that process alternative energy sources and materials.
Certificate holders supplement their key vocational knowledge and abilities with key general knowledge in line with national standards.

Assesment and completion:
Students' vocational abilities and skills, and the fulfilment of conditions to obtain credits in accordance with the relevant education programme are established through verification and assessment. Assessment of students also takes into account non-formally acquired knowledge, which must be adequately demonstrated. Students are assessed using grades from 5 (excellent) to 1 (inadequate).

Progress:

Students may progress to the next year if at the end of the academic year they achieve passing grades in all general education subjects and relevant vocational modules set out in the school’s operational curriculum, and have completed all extracurricular activities and practical on-the-job training, or progress on the basis of a programme faculty decision.

Progression:

Secondary technical, vocational or vocational-technical education; master craftsman/foreman/shop manager examination (SQF level 5)

Conditions for obtaining a public document:
Students must successfully (i.e. with passing grades) complete all general education subjects, compulsory vocational modules, three elective vocational modules and the open part of the curriculum. They must also complete all extracurricular activities, practical on-the-job training and pass a school-leaving examination.
The school-leaving examination comprises a written and oral examination in Slovene, a product/service and an oral presentation.
