Assesment and completion:

The methods, forms and structure of checking and assessing knowledge enable UL students to properly check the achieved learning outcomes and competences. Students' knowledge is checked and assessed by individual subjects, and the forms of knowledge testing are precisely defined in the subject curricula. Examination of knowledge, including the method of assessing examinations, is precisely defined in the Statute of the University of Ljubljana from Articles 128 to 150, and some members have also adopted Rules on examination and assessment of knowledge. The results of the exams are published on the bulletin boards of the members or on websites that allow students to compare the achieved results with other participants in the exam via enrollment numbers or other passwords. Some members also give feedback on student progress with praise and recognition to the best students. In accordance with Article 138 of the UL Statute, success in exams is assessed with grades: 10 - (excellent: outstanding results with negligible errors), 9 - (very good: above-average knowledge, but with some errors), 8 - (very good: solid results), 7 - (good: good knowledge, but with major errors), 6 - (sufficient: knowledge meets minimum criteria), 5 - 1 - (insufficient: knowledge does not meet minimum criteria). The candidate passes the exam if he / she receives a grade from sufficient (6) to excellent (10). Success in exams in doctoral study programmes can also be assessed with grades: -not passed -passed -passed with distinction. The specific method of assessing success in examinations in doctoral study programmes is defined by the doctoral study programme.
