  • demonstrate proficiency in the research methods of linguistics and literary sciences,
  • combine the methodology of Slovenian studies research work with the methodology of another field to obtain new research results,

Assesment and completion:

Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In the first-cycle university two-subject study programme Slovenian Language and Literature, in order to advance in the second year students must have accumulated 24 credits in the Slovenian Language and Literature programme (out of 60 credits in total, required in the first year of the two-subject programme). This means they must fulfil all the requirements of the first year, prescribed by the study programme Slovenian language and Literature, from the compulsory modules in the amount of 24 credits. In order to advance in the third year students must have fulfilled all the requirements of the first year in the study programme Slovenian Language and Literature (30 credits) and accumulated 24 credits (out of 60 credits in total, prescribed in the two-subject programme of the second year). This means they must fulfil all the requirements, prescribed by the study programme Slovenian Language and Literature for the second year from the compulsory modules in the amount of 24 credits.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete a two-subject study programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the programme in both parts of the two-subject study programme for a total of at least 180 credits (90 credits in each part of the two-subject study programme).
