- participate in ecumenical activities involving Christian Churches in Slovenia and Europe,
- put forward initiatives for interconfessional activities in the charity, social and educational fields,
- provide fundamental orientation to people experiencing various types of personal crisis who are seeking an answer to the meaning of life,
- engage people of different religious convictions for cooperation in favour of social coexistence, peace and prosperity,
- identify the specific characteristics of violence that is connected to religion, the triggers of such violence and its numerous forms, in order to be able to prevent them
- eliminate harmful prejudices about religion and ignorance connected to it so that members of religions are also treated in practice as equal citizens with equal rights.
In order to progress from the first to the second year, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the curriculum and individual syllabuses for the first year, for a total of 60 credits.

Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)
In order to complete the study programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the programme. This means completing all 120 credits and writing and successfully defending a master's thesis.
