Certificate holders will be able to:
- read, plan, draft, monitor and amend technical documentation in accordance with prescribed instructions and through the use of ICT;
- apply concepts regarding the organisation of work and economics in a technical field;
- carry out assembly, testing, set-up and start-up of servers and connect computer systems to local networks and online network;
- make required settings to an operating system;
- program simple applications on programmable devices;
- build a simple logic circuit and control system;
- assemble, wire and program programmable relays (PLCs);
- set parameters for optimal signal reception;
- install and set parameters for decoder systems;
- implement highly complex RA and TV transmissions;
- build, install and maintain RDF devices;
- select and install the necessary components with regard to signal power and line type and set basic configurations;
- operate and program telephone systems;
- prepare technical solutions for telecommunications networks;
- verify traffic data;
- configure terminal equipment;
- program base stations and transmission devices in mobile networks and manage mobile communications and control systems;
- lay out, wire and carry out basic measurements and maintenance on various types of electrical and communications installations;
- select and connect electrical protective devices: fuses, circuit breakers, RCDs, safety switches;
Elective:
Diagnostics and troubleshooting:
- configure and test equipment, supervise functioning and analyse faults in telecommunications installations and cable conductors
- connect, disconnect, test, supervise the functioning of and troubleshoot base stations and transmission systems in the field under supervision
System and network architecture:
- trace overhead and underground lines and cable ducts and implement necessary protection
Telecommunications network installation:
- assembly of antennas and installations in antenna systems, base stations, cable conductors, power supplies and transmission systems
Set-up of local telecommunications and computer networks:
- configure computer networks and telecommunications networks
Equipment for multimedia technology:
- set-up and operation of AV devices and systems
System measurement techniques:
- Implementation, analysis and evaluation of measurement results on telecommunications equipment.
Certificate holders have built on their key vocational knowledge and abilities with key general knowledge in line with national standards.
Students' vocational abilities and skills and the fulfilment of conditions to obtain credits in accordance with the relevant education programme are established through verification and assessment. Assessment of students also takes into account non-formally acquired knowledge, which must be adequately demonstrated. Students are assessed using scores from 5 (excellent) to 1 (inadequate).
Students may progress to the next year if at the end of the academic year they achieve a passing grade in all general education subjects and technical modules from the school's operational curriculum for the year and have completed all extracurricular activities and all work placement requirements. Progression is also possible by decision of the programme teaching staff.

Matura/vocational course, higher vocational education (SQF level 6), professional higher education (SQF level 7) and academic higher education (SQF level 7)
Students must successfully (i.e. with passing grades) complete general education subjects, compulsory and elective technical modules, and the open part of the curriculum. They must also complete extracurricular activities and on-the-job training and pass the vocational matura examination.
A vocational matura comprises a compulsory section (written and oral examination in Slovene, written and oral examination in electronic communications) and an elective section (written and oral foreign language or mathematics examination, and a product/service and an oral presentation).
