The qualification holder  will be able to:

(general competences)

  • use mathematical, scientific and computing knowledge to resolve engineering problems,
  • address specific problems in the field of electrical engineering, taking into account broader socio-economic consequences and restrictions,
  • install, maintain and manage electrical engineering devices and systems that will satisfy set objectives and requirements in practice,
  • integrate technical knowledge, techniques, skills and modern engineering tools in the addressing of technological problems,
  • give public presentations of technical solutions in written or oral form,
  • demonstrate autonomy in professional work, show a critical spirit and take responsibility for proposed solutions and
  • work in professionally and/or ethnically mixed groups.

  • transfer of new technological solutions into practice,
  • demonstrate understanding of the basic principles of operation of electrical engineering devices, systems and processes,
  • resolve specific operational tasks while taking into account relevant recommendations, standards and regulations,
  • record and analyse faults, outages or disruptions in technological processes and take operational action,
  • use standard methods and techniques to carry out maintenance, testing, monitoring and operational tasks,
  • use information technology and
  • go on to further study in compatible master's programmes.

Assesment and completion:

Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

Students may enrol in a higher year if by the end of the academic year they have met all enrolment requirements defined by the study programme.
