Learning outcomes:

The qualification holders are capable of addressing concrete scholarly problems and at the same time will have acquired detailed insight into the state of research into individual historical problems.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

Students who have completed all course units (examinations, seminar papers) prescribed by the individual study programme (at least 45 credits) may enrol in the next year of the course.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must successfully complete all course units prescribed by the individual study programme. The programme is completed with the successful public defence of the master's thesis. Graduates of this programme must complete the programme by the 30.9.2016.
