Learning outcomes:

The qualification holders have acquired in-depth knowledge and developed creativity in the field of scientific and technical information science, in particular with regard to building information systems, developing data processing methods and techniques, using and adapting software and applying it in the transfer of information, with a special emphasis on information science methodologies at the highest data processing level, to resolve research and development problems.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10). 

Progress:
Candidates may enrol in the second year when they meet requirements totalling at least 45 credits. During their studies, students must complete at least one written seminar paper and present it orally, which is a condition to sit for an examination. Before presenting their master’s thesis, students must write an article for publication in a magazine relevant to their master’s thesis.
