The following candidates can enroll in the second level MA master's programme:

  • who has completed a first-cycle study programme in the amount of 180 ECTS in any field and sciences and has at least 3 years of work experience;
  • who has completed a professional higher study programme in any field / science before the ZVIS amendment in the amount of 180 ECTS and has at least 3 years of work experience;

In addition to the above condition, the candidate must also:

  • submit 2 letters of recommendation to the application,
  • master the English language in writing and spoken, which we check in a personal interview,
  • successfully conduct a longer admission interview.

Candidates will be able able to:

  • study modern theories that define the nature of knowledge in the theoretical and practical field of management and leadership and to discuss its relevance and use in practice;
  • describe the principles and use of analytical methodologies in management and critically evaluate the literature;
  • study the principles and methods for improving quality and to consider the application of these principles;
  • study the ethical dimension of human behavior and to address the use of moral theories in the theoretical and practical fields of leadership and management.

Subject-specific competences:

  • deepening knowledge in the field of management and leadership - by involving and intertwining different disciplines,
  • coherent mastery of basic knowledge, the ability to integrate knowledge from different fields and applications to concrete examples - especially learning, obtaining ideas and creating solutions with openness to other areas and their integration, the search for synergies;
  • use of information and communication technology and systems in the field of leadership and management;
  • ability to solve concrete work problems using analytical methods and procedures, critical appraisal and past experience;
  • ability to and willingness to make decisions in uncertain situations;
  • ability to place new information and interpretations in the context of the basic discipline of management,
  • understanding the general structure of the basic discipline of management and the connection between its subdisciplines, as well as interdisciplinary;
  • understanding and use of methods of critical analysis and development of theories and their use in solving concrete work problems - management, taking responsibility, achieving goals, making decisions, etc .;
  • development of leadership and management skills;
  • developing the necessary personality traits for effective and responsible leadership.

 

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

The system of taking exams takes place after each completed lecture or module. The candidate has only one option to correct the exam.

All lectures, tutorials and other activities are mandatory. In order to successfully complete the study, the candidate must therefore complete all study obligations, including the integration counseling project, which is considered to be the candidate's final work. So, together with all the completed obligations, the candidate collects 120 ECTS and thus completes his / her studies.
