Anyone who has completed the second-cycle study programme Philosophy can enroll in:

  • a study programme of at least the first level, evaluated with at least 180 credit points, from the same professional field (philosophy) or an equivalent study program obtained in accordance with current regulations in the Republic of Slovenia or abroad;
  • a study programme of at least the first level, evaluated with at least 180 credit points, from other professional fields or an equivalent study programme obtained according to current regulations in the Republic of Slovenia or abroad, if the candidate completed study obligations essential for continuing studies. These obligations are set by the department implementing the programme and range from 10 to a maximum of 60 credits.

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

To progress to a higher year, students must complete study obligations to the extent that they achieves 90% of the ECTS prescribed by the syllabus (54 out of 60 ECTS) for an individual year.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

To complete the study, the student must complete the study obligations prescribed by the syllabus and individual curricula, in the total amount of 120 ECTS. In the last year of study, the student prepares an appropriate master's thesis (30 ECTS), which he must successfully defend.
