The holder of the certificate is qualified to:

  • replace, install and repair vehicle body parts;
  • diagnose the condition of a vehicle body and painted surfaces;
  • use measurement and control devices, tools and machinery that are used in the servicing and repair of vehicles;
  • use technical and technological documents, technical rules and standards and technical plans and instructions provided by the manufacturers;
  • maintain, repair and replace exhaust systems; 
  • fit auxiliaries and accessories in vehicles;
  • maintain, repair and implement antirust protection procedures of vehicle body and other component parts of the vehicle; 
  • implement installation and finishing works in vehicles; 
  • maintain and repair rims and ventilation and heating appliances;
  • advise clients about vehicle repair and maintenance works;
  • participate in teamwork and communicate with colleagues, professionals and clients in writing and orally using fundamental professional terminology;
  • implement and provide measures of health and safety at work, environmental protection, fire safety and the prevention of injuries;
  • hold a positive attitude toward measures aimed at reducing pollution and environmental protection;
  • assess the rational use of energy and materials, energy sources and waste management;
  • use modern information technology, work with sources, data and material;
  • employ entrepreneurial thinking, manage costs and calculations and act responsibly and socially in the work environment.

Assesment and completion:

Students' vocational abilities and skills and the fulfilment of conditions to obtain credits in accordance with the relevant education programme are established through verification and assessment. Assessment of students also takes into account non-formally acquired knowledge, which must be adequately demonstrated. Students are assessed using grades from 5 (excellent) to 1 (inadequate).

Progress:

Students who, at the end of the school year, have a positive assessment of all general education subjects and professional modules of the year in accordance with the school's implementation curriculum, and who have completed all the obligations of other forms of educational work (active citizenship and extracurricularactivities) and Practical training through work placement at the employer.

For students with individual learning contracts, passing an intermediate exam is a condition for promotion from the second to the third year.

Progression:

Secondary technical, vocational or vocational-technical education; master craftsman/foreman/shop manager examination (SQF level 5).

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the education and obtain the qualification, the student/apprentice must successfully pass with positive grades:

  • general education subjects,
  • mandatory professional modules,
  • one of the optional professional modules,
  • open part of the open curriculum.

In addition, he/she must complete:

  • other forms of extracurricular activities (active citizenship and interest activities),
  • obligations in practical training  through work placement,
  • final exam.

The final exam includes:

  • written and oral examination of Slovenian language,
  • presenting and defending a service
