Learning outcomes:

The qualification holders possess in-depth knowledge in the fields of business and court interpreting, community interpreting, media interpreting and conference interpreting, which may take the form of consecutive, simultaneous or whispered interpreting. Students are therefore capable of facilitating communication between members of different cultures/speakers of different languages and of taking responsibility for the successful flow of information and knowledge.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

Candidates must achieve passing grades in seven subjects and one seminar paper, the topic of which is selected by agreement with the lecturer. Before sitting the final examination, candidates must have passed all other examinations.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must successfully complete a test in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation before a committee. Following the examination, candidates submit a specialisation thesis and defend it before the lecturer selected as mentor. Graduates of this programme must complete the programme by the 30.9.2016.
