Admission requirements Entry conditions:
  • A higher vocational qualification and three years' work experience in the carriage of dangerous goods, and
  • a secondary technical qualification and five years' work experience in the carriage of dangerous goods, and
  • certificate of participation in safety adviser training as prescribed in Chapter 1.8 of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) (UL RS Nos 9/03, 66/03, 9/05, 9/07, 125/08, 97/10 and 14/13).

Learning outcomes:

Candidates will be able to:

  • plan, prepare, carry out and check own work,

  • verify the conformity of the handling of dangerous goods in a company with regulations governing the carriage of dangerous goods,
  • advise company management,

  • provide employees with prescribed information from their area of work,
  • implement appropriate measures to prevent accidents,
  • take correct action in the event of accidents,
  • prepare annual reports.

Evaluator:

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. Licences may be found here.

Assesment and completion:

VALIDATION. During the guidance process, the candidate prepares a portfolio. The relevant committee assesses the portfolio and validates catalogue content in part or full. If the committee is unable to recognise all catalogue content, it assigns tasks to the candidate for verification.
VERIFICATION METHOD. Candidates undergo a training test before a panel charged with verifying and validating vocational qualifications. The training test takes place in writing and orally or in writing only and has a maximum duration of 180 minutes. During the test candidates may use literature defined by the committee (the use of international and national regulations is permitted).
Candidates must pass the following:

  • a general test (not necessary in the case of refresher training) and
  • a test in one of two special categories (road transport or rail transport).

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

Candidates demonstrate attainment of the knowledge, skills and competences defined in the catalogue of standards of vocational knowledge and skills.

Awarding body:

Providers of procedures for identifying and validating national vocational qualifications are entered in a register of providers maintained in the relevant database of the National Reference Point for Occupational Qualifications. Providers include: vocational schools, companies, inter-company training centres, adult education centres, chambers of commerce,
