Learning outcomes:

The certificate holder is qualified to:

  • carrying out basic quality control of glass raw materials and mixtures;
  • reading technical and technological documentation;
  • drawing and dimensioning of simple technical drawings;
  • blowing smaller glasses of simple shapes;
  • finishing of glass products with simple elements of grinding;

Optional:

  • operation of the glass machine with the associated equipment of the production line;
  • change of glassmaking tools;
  • measurements and analysis of product defects in the mechanical production of glass products.
  • preparation of the working opening;
  • planning your work in accordance with the technical documentation;
  • preparation of appropriate models, tools and accessories for glass blowing;
  • blowing of glasses and goblets of various complexity and size and of appropriate quality;
  • performing self-control in terms of quality, quantity and time.
  • planning grinding elements by stages;
  • labeling of the product in accordance with the technical documentation and sample;
  • grinding all the elements and connecting them into patterns;
  • checking the quality of ground elements in accordance with the quality class and ISO regulations;
  • maintenance of machines and tools and accessories for grinding.

In addition, the holder of the certificate also upgraded his/her key professional skills and competences with key general knowledge and skills in line with national standards. 

Assesment and completion:

Students' vocational abilities and skills, and the fulfilment of conditions to obtain credits in accordance with the relevant education programme are established through verification and assessment. Assessment of students also takes into account non-formally acquired knowledge, which must be adequately demonstrated. Students are assessed using scores from 5 (excellent) to 1 (inadequate).

Progress:

Students may progress to the next year if at the end of the academic year they achieve a positive assessment in all general education subjects and relevant vocational modules set out in the school's operational curriculum and have completed all extracurricular activities (active citizenship and extracurricular ​activities) and work placement requirements.

Secondary technical, vocational or vocational-technical education; master craftsman/foreman/shop manager examination (SQF level 5).

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the education and obtain the qualification, the student/apprentice must successfully pass with positive grades:

  • general education subjects,
  • mandatory professional modules,
  • one of the optional professional modules,
  • open part of the open curriculum.

In addition, he/she must complete:

  • other forms of extracurricular activities (active citizenship and interest activities),
  • obligations in practical training  through work placement,
  • intermediate test (applies to apprentice form of education and students with an individual learning contract in the school form of education),
  • final exam.

The final exam includes:

  • written and oral examination of Slovenian language,
  • presenting and defending a service
