The condition for enrollment in the first year is:

  • diploma in a first-cycle  study programme in the fields of construction and woodworking; or
  • diploma in a professional higher study programme (program adopted before 11 June 2004) in the fields of construction and woodworking; or
  • a diploma in a study programme which is equivalent in duration and scope to the program referred to in points a) or b) in other professional fields, whereby the candidate must complete additional study obligations essential for continuing studies (up to 30 ECTS) and the content and scope depend on the previously completed study programme. Additional study obligations for the candidate are determined by the competent commission of the UP FGO.

The candidate completes additional study obligations during the study at the first-cycle, in further training programmes or by taking exams before enrolling in the study programme.

Those who have completed equivalent education abroad also meet the conditions for enrollment.

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

The obligations of students in an individual subject are defined in the curricula and evaluated in ECTS, where 1 ECTS represents 30 hours of student work.

Progression to the second year

Students can progress to the second year if they collect at least 48 ECTS of the first year.

Exceptionally, a student may enroll in the second year, even if he / she does not meet the conditions from the previous paragraph, when he / she has justified reasons for this, such as: maternity, long illness, exceptional family and social circumstances, recognized status of a person with special needs, active participation in top professional, cultural and sports events, active participation in university bodies, etc., provided that it has collected at least 42 ECTS from the first year. In the above cases, the competent commission of the UP FGO decides on the enrollment.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the studies, it is necessary to complete all study obligations stipulated in the subject curricula and the study programme. The student prepares a master's thesis under the guidance of a mentor, who is usually selected in the second year of study. The preparation of the master's thesis must be prepared in accordance with the applicable rules for the preparation of the master's thesis.
