Learning outcomes:

The candidate is able to:

  • plan, prepare and control their own work in accordance with the standards of work in the hairdressing salon and the rules of the profession,
  • provide professional advice to the client regarding hairdressing services in accordance with the clients wishes and characteristics, taking into account the rules of the profession and modern trends in hairdressing and the principles of successful communication,
  • professionally design hairstyles and beards and perform hair coloring according to the agreement with the client, taking into account the rules of the profession and modern trends in hairdressing,
  • care for hair and scalp, taking into account the needs of the client and the rules of the profession,
  • design, use and care for hair products,
  • perform various techniques and types of make-up and make masks in accordance with the rules of the profession,
  • perform a manicure in accordance with the rules of the profession,
  • use devices, energy and time responsibly and economically when performing hairdressing services, and maintain personal hygiene and hygiene of the working space,
  • independently organize and lead employees in the hairdressing salon, taking into account regulations in the field of labor law, rules of teamwork and management skills,
  • communicate with colleagues and business partners taking into account the principles of successful communication and business etiquette using modern information and communication technology and basic professional vocabulary in Slovene and two foreign languages,
  • comprehensively and responsibly lead and monitor the implementation of regulations and standards regarding safety and health at work and environmental protection principles in the hairdressing salon,
  • monitor the work processes in its business unit to achieve quality standards and implement quality improvement measures in accordance with quality standards and the strategy of the hairdressing salon,
  • to ensure the profitability of the operation of the hairdressing salon in cooperation with other services, taking into account the legality of the business environment and regulations in the financial and economic field,
  • plan and implement practical education of students and introduction of new employees in the hairdressing salon (substantive, methodological, didactic and technical).

Evaluator:

They are members of examination boards for each examination unit separately. They are appointed by the minister responsible for education. The appointment may be renewed every 4 years.

Assesment and completion:

The candidate takes a master's exam, which contains 4 units:

  • practical part,
  • professional theoretical part,
  • managerial and economic part,
  • pedagogical andragogical part.
