The qualification holder is be able to:

  • lead the most complex research projects,
  • implement innovative knowledge (research will contribute to the progress of the scientific excellence of the discipline at the regional, national and European levels and contribute to creating a knowledge society and transferring knowledge to the business sector),
  • develop generic and transfer skills (teamwork and interinstitutional liaison, leadership functions, time and career management, and management of material and human resources),
  • demonstrate knowledge of the principles of intellectual property and reflect on them from the ethical point of view,
  • demonstrate autonomy in own research and professional work and effectiveness in team research,

  • present the results of scholarly work in the form of publications in international scientific periodicals and international projects,
  • implement research in society, in particular in the field of the study of identities, intercultural dialogue, evaluation of material and cultural heritage and cultural tourism,
  • autonomously assess and evaluate results and contribute to the development of the discipline in individual fields of historiography,
  • implement results in order to achieve a knowledge society.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to progress to the second year, students must have completed course units totalling 45 credits. In order to progress from the second year to the third year, students must have completed first- and second-year course units totalling 90 credits and submitted at least one research paper for publication in a domestic or foreign journal that is indexed in, at least, the international databases for the field, and publicly presented the topic of their doctoral dissertation.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the study programme.
