  • correctly use legal resources (laws, decrees, international acts, directives, implementing regulations, court decisions, autonomous sources of law, etc.), depending on the content of a specific relationship,
  • adopts decisions when formulating and resolving disputes in connection with these relationships,

  • demonstrate knowledge of the system, competences and functioning of the institutions of justice and the State administration,

  • transfer theoretical knowledge into practice when addressing legal questions,

  • use legal resources correctly with regard to the rules of argument such as "a special law takes precedence over a general law", "a later law applies before an earlier law", analogous use of rules, etc.,
  • make a high-quality presentation of the system of organisation of the State and the EU to users of the law,

Assesment and completion:

Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Five Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to progress from the first year to the second year, students must have completed first-year course units totalling at least 35 ECTS credits. In order to progress, students must pass examinations in the following subjects: Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Civil Law – General Part.
In order to progress from the second year to the third year, students must have completed course units totalling at least 38 (further) ECTS credits. Examinations in the following subjects are compulsory: Family Law and Inheritance Law, Material Law, Civil Procedural Law, the Legal System and EU Institutions.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must complete all course units, for a total of 180 ECTS credits (pass all examinations prescribed by the study programme, and prepare and successfully defend a bachelor's thesis).
