Pursuant to Article 38 of the Higher Education Act, the following may be enrolled in the first year of the higher professional study program Business Informatics:

  • who passed the matura,
  • who has passed the vocational matura or final examination of any four-year secondary school programme,
  • who completed any four-year secondary school programme before June 1, 1995.

The condition for enrollment in the second year of study after the completion of a short cycle higher education programme adopted after 1 January 1994 is a diploma of a short cycle higher education study and an average grade of at least eight. Candidates must pass the differential exams resulting from the difference between the programmes until enrollment in the third year.

The condition for enrollment in the third year after completing a short cycle higher education programme adopted before 1 January 1994 is a diploma of short cycle higher education. Graduates of related programmes can enroll without differential exams (EF Ljubljana, VEKŠ / EPF Maribor, VUŠ / FU Ljubljana, FDV Ljubljana, VŠOD / FOV Kranj, FRI Ljubljana, FE Ljubljana, FERI Maribor), and all others must pass differential exams before graduation from selected chapters of the subjects of the first and second year of the business informatics programme.

Those who have completed equivalent education abroad also meet the conditions for enrollment.

  • ability to plan organizational and information changes required for the introduction, use and quality assurance in all areas of work within the institutions;
  • ability for independent and autonomous use, control and maintenance of software for the realization of organizational and information functions;

  • developing communication skills in the domestic and international environment;
  • competence for team and project work;
  • ability of ethical reflection and commitment to professional ethics in the business environment, respect for non-discrimination and multiculturalism in the organization and its (international) environment;

  • ability to write a problem in the form of an algorithm;

  • knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of information technology;

Assesment and completion:

Znanje študentov se ocenjuje z vajami, seminarskimi nalogami, lahko pa tudi z izdelki, projektnimi deli, nastopi, storitvami in drugače ter z izpiti. Uspeh na izpitu se ocenjuje z ocenami: 10 (odlično); 9 (prav dobro: nadpovprečno znanje, vendar z nekaj napakami); 8 (prav dobro: solidni rezultati); 7 (dobro); 6 (zadostno: znanje ustreza minimalnim kriterijem); 5–1 (nezadostno). Kandidat uspešno opravi izpit, če dobi oceno od zadostno (6) do odlično (10).

Progress:

To progress to the second year, a student must achieve at least 45 ECTS from the first year, to progress to the third year at least 45 ECTS from the second year and all obligations from the first year, which amounts to 105 ECTS.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

Students complete their studies in the Business Informatics programme when they complete all study obligations prescribed by the programme in the amount of 180 ECTS.

If a student enrolls in the business informatics program in the second year after completing the short cycle higher education programme adopted after 1 January 1994, he must pass all prescribed differential exams and regular study obligations of the second and third year in the amount of at least 120 ECTS.

If a student enrolls in the third year of the Business Informatics program, after completing the short cycle higher education programme accepted before 01.01.1994, he must pass all prescribed differential exams and regular study obligations of the third year in the amount of at least 60 ECTS.
