Learning outcomes:

The candidate is able to:

  • obtain and use working and technical documentation and plan their own work in accordance with the instructions of their superior and taking into account sustainable principles,
  • operate road vehicles equipped with a load-lifting device,
  • operate heavy mobile truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 to 1000 tons, which are equipped with either an extendable beam (arm) with a reach of 40 to 100 m or with a telescopic lifting device in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions,
  • perform preventive maintenance of machinery, work equipment and equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and other regulations,
  • use protective and security equipment and perform their work safely in a way that does not endanger themselves or others in their working environment and comply with the norms and regulations governing occupational safety and safe work with work machines,
  • control the quality of the work performed in accordance with the norms and other regulations and comply with the principles of rational use of energy, time and material,
  • use modern communication technology, computer equipment and appropriate software tools that they need in their work work,
  • communicate with management and colleagues and other stakeholders they encounter in their work and follow the rules in business relationships and relationships with customers,
  • protect the environment from the negative effects of materials and work equipment.

Evaluator:

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. Licences may be found here.

Assesment and completion:

1.VALIDATION

During the guidance process the candidate prepares a portfolio,  which is assessed by a committee. If the portfolio submitted by the candidate contains  authentic, valid and adequate proof of the knowledge,  skills and competences defined in the occupational standard, the committee may:

  • validate the contents of the occupational standard in full,  
  • validate the contents of the occupational standard in part and define the  knowledge, skills and competence to be verified,  
  • refuse to validate any of the contents of the occupational standard because  the candidate has not provided proof of any of the knowledge, skills and competences  defined in the occupational standard, in which case it will verify  the occupational standard in full.  

2.METHOD OF VERIFICATION

A) Oral defense (interview)

If the candidate can prove at least 200 hours of work experience in the last 5 years operating heavy mobile cranes (vehicles over 7.5 tons), which the candidate can prove with authentic documents (e.g. written confirmation of hours of work performed on the machine for an individual project, confirmed by the supervisor at the work site, and/or training certificates, which also describe and specify the hours of practical training on the machine, etc.), an oral defense will be held.

B) Practical examination with defense.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

The candidate demonstrates that he/she achieves the knowledge, skills and competencies specified in the catalogue of professional knowledge and skills standards.

Awarding body:

Providers of procedures for identifying and validating NVQs are entered in a register of providers maintained in the collection of the national information centre for vocational qualifications. These are: vocational schools, businesses, B2B training centres, adult education centres and chambers of commerce.
