Learning outcomes:

Qualification holders will be able to maintain traditional creative design practice that is still covered today in terms of content by the current designation of applied art. They will be able to equip living spaces with decorative products that simultaneously have a useful function and a symbolic, aesthetic expressiveness, revealing the lifestyle of the owner, because of which they convey a distinctive message. With masterful and sensitive proficiency in the use of traditional materials, along with the wealth of possibilities offered by modern technologies, they are able to stimulate a unique and private experience for owners. Graduates will enjoy complete design freedom in a living dialogue with the complex definition of industrial design that is committed to proliferation.

 

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Candidates may enrol in the second year when they have completed course units totalling at least 45 credits.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

Students complete their studies when they have completed all course units and written and successfully defended a master's thesis. Graduates of this programme must complete the programme by the 30.9.2016.
