  • Diploma from a higher education programme such as defectology, social pedagogy or other higher education programme such as fine art education, music education and other artistic fields, pre-school education, general elementary teaching, psychology, pedagogy, social work and healthcare, and a diploma from study programmes at fine arts academies, professional higher education institutions and the Faculty of Sport, as well as academic and professional higher education programmes, provided that candidates were actively engaged in an artistic activity as an amateur,
  • candidates must demonstrate proficiency in one foreign language,
  • candidates must demonstrate basic mastery of a selected artistic medium, and additionally in the field of music, music culture and mastery of one instrument at the final level of secondary music school,
  • regular, contractual or volunteer work with people in a field in which candidates will be able to directly apply, test and develop knowledge acquired in specialist studies is required for enrolment.

Learning outcomes:

The qualification holder demonstrate advanced knowledge of developmental and therapeutic work with various handicapped persons, where promoting the process of self-actualisation, which is effectively carried out through artistic and creative activities, is becoming increasingly important. Students are able to master the creative process in various artistic media, where they contribute to the activation, rehabilitation, personal integration and socialisation of handicapped persons.

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students may enrol in a higher year if by the end of the academic year they have completed all requirements defined by the study programme for enrolment in a higher year.
