Learning outcomes:

Qualification holders will have developed their creative potential and be able to explore problems, fields, questions and aspects not yet covered. They will possess in-depth knowledge of directorial practices and poetics, the history and theory of television, the laws of dramaturgy, various types of narration, narrative models and characterisation. They will demonstrate proficiency in scientific research methodology in the field of television directing. They will also have developed knowledge in the fields directly or indirectly related to television directing (philosophy, anthropology, cultural sociology, aesthetics, psychology, etc.). Graduates will be capable of evaluating their own creative practice, making generalisations, reflecting and contributing new knowledge and creative practices to the field of television directing.

 

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students may enrol in the second year if they have successfully completed the first-year course units prescribed by the programme.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

Students complete their studies when they have completed all course units and written and successfully defended a master's thesis. The thesis defence must take place within five years of enrolment at the latest. Graduates of this programme must complete the programme by the 30.9.2016.
