  • a completed professional higher education programme under the previous system (programmes adopted before 11 June 2004) in a relevant field (sport, health); or
  • a completed study programme in another field that is equivalent in duration and scope to the programme referred to in the first or second indent, if prior to enrolment the candidate has completed additional course units, the content and scope of which depend on the previously completed study programme; candidates shall be assigned a maximum of three subjects from the first-cycle (undergraduate) academic study programme in Applied Kinesiology.

The qualification holder will be able to:

  • demonstrate understanding of the functioning of human cells, tissues, organs and organ systems in interaction with the living environment,

  • identify and study the consequences of human interaction with the environment and take preventive action to achieve sustainable development,
  • develop strategies and programmes for the promotion of exercise/sport as a factor of quality of life,
  • carry out autonomous and group professional work and research, at the national and international levels, in the field of kinesiology and related disciplines,
  • critically and self-critically assess and produce independent texts (articles, papers, assessments, discussions etc.),
  • critically verify information and anticipate solutions and consequences,
  • apply theoretical and practical research methods, various procedures and technologies,
  • show a commitment to ethics and a sense of professionalism,

Assesment and completion:

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students may progress to the next year if they have completed at least 48 credits from the current year and all course units from the previous year.

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

In order to complete the programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the study programme and subject syllabuses, and write and successfully defend a master's thesis. In this way students accumulate 120 credits.
