The qualification holder will be able to:

(general competences)

• demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the foundations and history of biopsychology,
• demonstrate mastery of concepts and knowledge and understanding of research-related and applied methods, procedures and processes in various fields of biopsychology,
• demonstrate coherent mastery of the basics of biopsychology, integrate knowledge from various fields and apply it,
• autonomously read and understand literature on biopsychology,
• address concrete biological and psychological problems using critical analysis, scientific methods and procedures: demonstrate a capacity to define a problem, analyse theoretical starting points of research and hypotheses, select an appropriate research strategy, draw up a research plan, carry out research and evaluate results obtained, report on discoveries,
• cooperate in an expert team, participate in a modern manner in processes of co-creating new findings and practical activities in various scientific and social practices,
• demonstrate mastery of social competences for work in and for society, including: sensitivity towards the psychological aspects of social differences, knowledge and understanding of and respect for individual, group and cultural differences in various scientific and social practices, understanding of social, emotional, motivational, cognitive and other processes in the self and in others in various contexts, the capacity to establish and maintain an appropriate relationship with the subject (conducting interviews, observation, test situations, data collection, etc.) and a capacity for adequate communication,
• demonstrate a commitment to biopsychological practice,

• demonstrate understanding of the general structure of biopsychology and the links between its disciplines,
• demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the foundations and history of biology and psychology,
• autonomously read and understand biological and psychological literature,
• demonstrate knowledge of the fields and methods of psychological diagnostics,
• demonstrate knowledge of the basics of the measurement of various biopsychological phenomena, understand the characteristics of biological and psychological texts and analyse them, and interpret the results of such analysis,
• demonstrate knowledge of the fields and theory of psychological counselling,
• demonstrate understanding of and apply statistical methods and some forms of multivariate statistics, logic and rational reflection,
• carry out research and professional work in the field of the natural sciences, social research and marketing,
• develop skills and expertise in the application of knowledge in various fields of psychology,
• place new information and interpretations in the context of biology and psychology.
