Admission requirements
  • Secondary vocational education in any field,
  • completed basic military training for engineering duties and functional military training for specific duties,
  • completed course for work with chainsaw and motorised drill/borer,
  • completed heavy construction plant operation course or category C and E driving licence,
  • rifleman/woman NVQ or military service completed before 2004,
  • passed physical fitness test (Cooper test),
  • passed medical examination.

Candidates will be able to:

  • plan, prepare, carry out and check own work,
  • make rational use of energy, material and time,
  • protect life, health and the environment,
  • communicate with co-workers and the environment and work in teams,
  • use information and communication technologies,
  • prepare personal equipment and technical equipment,
  • participate in international military operations and protection and rescue missions and provide security,
  • handle personal weapons and equipment,
  • implement tactical procedures in a combat zone,
  • handle mines and explosive devices and detonator devices,
  • work various materials and make fortification barriers,
  • carry out tasks in the construction and maintenance of temporary structures,
  • perform tasks in the camouflaging of structures and material resources,

  • maintain weapons, ammunition, mines and other explosive devices, and other material and technical resources.

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. Licences may be found here [2].

VALIDATION

During the verification procedure, the candidate will prepare a personal portfolio with the help of Armed Forces personnel support. This will be evaluated by a committee and the content recognised in full or in part. In the event that the committee is unable to recognise all catalogue content, it assigns tasks to the candidate for verification.

Practical testing.

Candidates demonstrate attainment of the knowledge, skills and competences defined in the catalogue of standards of vocational knowledge and skills.

Providers of procedures for identifying and validating national vocational qualifications are entered in a register of providers maintained in the relevant database of the National Reference Point for Occupational Qualifications. Providers include: vocational schools, companies, inter-company training centres, adult education centres, chambers of commerce, etc.
