  • Diploma from the Faculty of Social Work (or at a Higher Education School of Social Work) or
  • graduates of other faculties or higher education schools who work in the field of justice and social protection and in their work require knowledge from the proposed programme (the condition for enrolment of graduates from other faculties and schools is that they have at least two years of working experience in an appropriate field).

  • The qualification holders have in-depth knowledge in the area of the general theory of social work and are trained to apply it in the field of enforcement of penal sanctions.
  • Equally, they have in-depth knowledge in the field of penology, the nature of individual institutions for enforcement of penal sanctions and the forms of non-institutional enforcement of penal sanctions.
  • They have acquired in-depth knowledge in the field of theories of social deviations and supervision, and are trained to apply them in the field of social work.
  • They have also enhanced their knowledge in the field of deviancy, phenomenology and symptomatology, the possibilities for helping individuals, their families and the wider social environment, and have acquired practical knowledge and skills for communicating with people dealt with in the penal system in institutional and non-institutional procedures.

Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

V tretji semester se lahko vpišejo vsi slušatelji, ki so do začetka tretjega semestra opravili vse s študijskim programom predpisane obveznosti.

Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)

Completion of all required obligations and successful defence of specialist paper produced and defended by specialisation students in the third semester of study. Graduates of this programme must complete the programme by the 30.9.2016.
