Admission requirements
  • at least completed elementary school and 6 months of experience in working with members of the Roma community and
  • proof of knowledge of the Slovene language, which the candidate proves with a certificate of a Slovene elementary school or by passing an examination in knowledge of Slovene at the basic level, and
  • proof of knowledge of the Romani language / dialect, which the candidate proves with a statement / reference letter of organizations, associations, etc.

The candidate is able to:

  • plan and organize their work in cooperation with the authorities in local organizations;
  • to ensure the quality and performance of work in the work environment;
  • rational use of energy, materials and time and promote a healthy lifestyle;
  • use modern information and communication technology;
  • participate in the organization and implementation of programs in adult education;
  • to cooperate with education participants, Roma parents and guardians of Roma children and educational institutions;
  • to cooperate with members and representatives of the Roma community and with associations and associations dealing with Roma issues;
  • communicate with individuals and institutions in the fields of social inclusion;
  • to respect and respect multiculturalism based on respect for diversity, coexistence and overcoming prejudice.

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. Licences may be found here [2].

VALIDATION

During the guidance process the candidate prepares a portfolio, which is assessed by a committee. If the portfolio submitted by the candidate contains authentic, valid and adequate proof of the knowledge, skills and competences defined in the occupational standard, the committee may:

  • validate the contents of the occupational standard in full,
  • validate the contents of the occupational standard in part and define the knowledge, skills and competence to be verified,
  • refuse to validate any of the contents of the occupational standard because the candidate has not provided proof of any of the knowledge, skills and competences defined in the occupational standard, in which case it will verify the occupational standard in full.

ASSESSMENT METHOD

Oral and practical assessment with oral defense.

 

A candidate demonstrates the attainment of the knowledge, skills and competences defined in the catalogue of standards of vocational knowledge and skills.

Providers of procedures for identifying and validating national vocational qualifications are entered in a register of providers maintained in the relevant collection of the National Reference Point for Occupational Qualifications. Providers include: vocational schools, companies, inter-company training centres, adult education centres, chambers of commerce, etc.
