Admission requirements
  • A completed first-cycle study programme amounting to at least 180 credits in the following technical fields: organisational science, business and administrative studies, economics, social sciences, law, IT and computer science, healthcare, social work, medicine and technical sciences; or
  • completed first-cycle study programme in another professional field not covered in the previous indent, and at least 180 credits; or
  • a completed study programme leading to a Professional Bachelor Degree qualification, adopted before 11 June 2004, amounting to 180 credits in the following technical fields: organisational science, business and administrative studies, economics, social sciences, law, IT and computer science, healthcare, social work, medicine and technical sciences; or
  • a completed study programme leading to a Professional Bachelor Degree qualification adopted before 11 June 2004, amounting to 180 credits in another technical field.

The qualification holder will be able to:

  • manage people and all other resources, and in so doing take account of the economic capacities of healthcare and social institutes,

  • plan and organise the operation of healthcare and social institutes on the basis of recognising epidemiological states,
  • take account of the ethical aspects of leadership and management and in the organisation of work in healthcare and social institutes,
  • assess, ensure and improve quality in healthcare and social institutes and be familiar with European and national orientations for the development of quality,
  • understand the legal system as the basis for the organising and functioning of healthcare and social institutes.

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

 

Students may progress to the next year if by the end of the academic year they have completed all requirements defined by the study programme for progression to the next year.

Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)
