Admission requirements
  • A first-cycle (Bologna) diploma in the field of nursing care comprising at least 180 ECTS credits or
  • a professional higher education diploma (study programme adopted before 11 June 2004) in the field of nursing care, or
  • a first-cycle (Bologna) diploma in other professional fields and 10 years' relevant work experience in the field of nursing care. For enrolment these candidates must meet the additional requirements (differential examinations) that are essential for enrolment in the Healthcare study programme. Additional requirements amounting to 60 credits are defined by the Studies and Student Affairs Committee of the University of Primorska, Faculty of Health Sciences on the basis of an individual request from the candidate. This committee also verifies the suitability of the candidate's work experience.

The qualification holder will be able to:

Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, the candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

 

In order to progress to the second year the student must have obtained 48 ECTS credits.

Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)

To complete their studies, students must meet the following requirements: 8 compulsory subjects, elective subjects totalling 30 ECTS credits, and a master's thesis.
