  • demonstrate fluent knowledge of English and computer literacy,

The qualification holder will be able to:
(general competences)

  • demonstrate familiarity with and apply theoretical concepts and principles, including in specific cases,
  • integrate contents in an interdisciplinary manner and undertake comparative study,
  • work cooperatively/as part of a team and communicate with representatives of local and national authorities and experts from various fields of economic and public life,
  • establish and maintain partner relations with co-workers, the employer and other users or groups (local community, advisory services, the commercial sector, etc.) and pursue tolerant dialogue,
  • acquire, select and evaluate new information and interpret it appropriately in context in the fields of economics, entrepreneurship and local government,
  • develop communication skills and skills in the application of knowledge in a specific technical field,

(subject-specific competences)

  • demonstrate knowledge of economic, financial, sociological, politicological and legal aspects of the field of local development, intercultural coexistence of local level and sustainable development,
  • demonstrate knowledge and understanding of institutions, structure and processes in the field of local government, and work in and cooperate with such institutions,
  • seek various solutions to given problems,
  • apply quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, analyse data and present results,
  • develop skills and expertise in the application of knowledge in a relevant field (initiation and management of processes of introducing changes at the local level, coordination of different participants in this process, work within organisations as an intermediary in contact with other organisations),
  • use information and communication technologies.

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students may progress to the next year if by the end of the academic year they have completed all course units prescribed by the study programme for progression to the next year.
