The qualification holder will be able to:
- understand the functioning of institutions of formal and informal social control,
- demonstrate familiarity with the field of global social, economic and political aspects,
- study security phenomena, formulate security reports and evaluate analyses and assessments of vulnerability, threats and risks in a national and international corporate setting,
- introduce integral security systems that cover the protection of people and property, protection of data, information and business secrets, benchmarking, business investigations, safe working conditions, environmental aspects, a system of protection and rescue in processes of managing emergencies and evaluation of geopolitical security factors,
- demonstrate familiarity with the methodology for managing corporate security processes in terms of marketing, formulating the prices of security services, planning investments in security upgrades, costs, risk insurance, ensuring business excellence and correct understanding of procedures of public and other tenders, and ordering corporate security services.
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
Students may enrol in the second year if they have gained 36 credits from first-year course units.
Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)
Students must meet all requirements defined by the study programme to complete their studies.
