Admission requirements
  • A completed first-cycle study programme in a relevant professional field (according to the ISCED qualification these are all accredited undergraduate programmes in the field of law (38), social sciences (31) and business and administrative sciences (34) after and before the introduction of the Bologna system in Slovenia); or
  • completed first-cycle study programme in the field of humanities (22) or another professional field (in this case candidates must pass the following differential examinations: Basics of Law, Basics of Constitutional Order, Basics of Administrative Law); or
  • completed first-cycle study programme or programme to obtain higher education qualifications adopted before 11 June 2004 in another professional field, but prior to enrolment candidates must pass differential subjects set by the academic affairs committee depending on the professional field of previous study.

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

 

In order to progress from the first to the second year (from the second to the third semester) students must pass examinations in four of six enrolled subjects.

Third-cycle doctoral study programmes (SQF level 10)

Students must meet all requirements defined by the study programme to complete their studies.
