Certificate holders will be able to:

  • autonomously plan and organise the carriage of freight in all branches of transport,
  • direct goods flows with regard to statutory requirements relating to goods (customs goods, goods released into free circulation, dangerous goods that must be stored under special conditions, etc.),
  • pack, store, order, electronically label and declare goods in logistics and sales centres,
  • demonstrate familiarity with and observe national and international legal sources covering goods handling, transport and logistics,
  • demonstrate familiarity with insurance procedures in individual transport subsystems and conclude transport insurance,
  • apply the principles of preventive and defensive behaviour in traffic and ensure safety in all transport sub-systems and logistics processes,
  • plan traffic flows and traffic signalling,
  • use and complete transport documentation, conduct logistics correspondence and produce, read and understand simple technical documentation,
  • show a positive attitude towards pollution-reduction measures, environmental protection and the rational use of energy and materials,
  • work in a group and communicate in writing and orally with co-workers and experts in their own language and at least two foreign languages,
  • use modern information technology and user software in their professional field (word processor and spreadsheets, email, logistics process control, warehouse information systems, traffic management and planning, etc.),
  • demonstrate understanding of the roles of entrepreneurship, costs management and calculations,
  • organise specific transports (hazardous substances, perishable goods, exceptional loads),

(elective)

  • demonstrate familiarity with activities and legal sources and implement or participate in freight forwarding, customs, inspection and complaints procedures in an international logistics chain,
  • autonomously plan and organise the transport of passengers,
  • optimally select, use, maintain and preventively inspect manual, automated and robotic handling and transport equipment according to the manufacturer's instructions,
  • supervise, maintain, eliminate errors, carry out simple programming and set operating parameters of automatic systems in logistics processes.

Certificate holders will also have built on their key vocational knowledge and abilities with key general knowledge in line with national standards.

Students' vocational abilities and skills and the fulfilment of conditions to obtain credits in accordance with the relevant education programme are established through verification and assessment. Assessment of students also takes into account non-formally acquired knowledge, which must be adequately demonstrated. Students are assessed using grades from 5 (excellent) to 1 (inadequate).

Students may progress to the next year if at the end of the academic year they pass all general education subjects and relevant vocational modules set out in the school’s operational curriculum, and have completed all extracurricular activities and practical on-the-job training, or progress on the basis of a programme faculty decision.

Matura/vocational course, higher vocational education (SQF level 6), professional higher education (SQF level 7) and academic higher education (SQF level 7)

Students must successfully (i.e. with passing grades) complete general education subjects, compulsory and elective vocational modules, and the open part of the curriculum. They must also complete extracurricular activities work placement requirements and pass the vocational matura examination.

A vocational matura comprises a compulsory section (written and oral examination in Slovene, written and oral examination in nature protection) and an elective section (written and oral foreign language or mathematics examination, and a product/service and an oral presentation).
