Admission requirements

Fulfilment of one of the following conditions:

  • the candidate has obtained a secondary vocational qualification (any stream) and has at least three years of professional experience,
  • the candidate has obtained a secondary technical qualification (any stream) and has at least two years of professional experience,
  • the candidate has obtained a higher vocational qualification or first-cycle professional higher education qualification (any stream) and has at least one year of professional experience.

Candidate:

  • plans, prepares and controls its own work and the work of the group
  • organizes and manages the work of the staff / team in the kitchen
  • uses energy, material and time rationally
  • ensures occupational safety and observes environmental protection principles
  • communicates with co-workers, clients and clients
  • develops entrepreneurial qualities, skills, behavior
  • uses computer hardware and software tools
  • masterfully masters all the procedures of preparation of dishes, uses them sensibly at work and connects them
  • professionally directs the work and helps to make more demanding meals at regular and special meals
  • procures and accepts ordered foods
  • designs and develops recipes describing techniques
  • plans practical training in the company, namely in terms of content, method, didactic and technical, and carries it out
  • controls and ensures quality, takes care of increasing productivity and economy, optimizes labor costs in the plant and takes care of promotion

Members of examination boards for each examination unit separately. Appointed by the minister responsible for education. Appointment may be renewed every 4 years.

Candidates sit a master craftsman examination, which consists of four units:

  • a practical unit,
  • a technical and theoretical part,
  • a business and economics part,
  • an education part.

Candidates must pass all four units of the master craftsman examination to receive the title of master craftsman.
