Qualification holders are qualified to:

  • carry out independent, critical, reflective, theoretically supported and creative analysis of relevant phenomena and processes,
  • think in an analytical and synthetic way about social phenomena,
  • participate in research projects, join research teams, and undertake own research,
  • think creatively by combining traditional and more recent methods and approaches to education and research,
  • set research goals, questions and theses/hypotheses in a clear, precise and comprehensible manner,
  • clearly define and consistently apply scientific methodology and objectivise research work,
  • observe the highest standards of research work and critically, consistently and inventively present, interpret and apply research results,
  • demonstrate knowledge of the key dimensions of differences in society and the challenges of successful regulation, administration and leadership in plural environments,
  • demonstrate knowledge of the theories and leading ideas, trends and processes, phenomena, ideas, concepts and practices that shape the Slovene and European contexts and also the world and global events,
  • autonomously collect, select, process, analyse and arrange relevant information for its appropriate and comprehensible presentation and interpretation (oral, written, using various media), e.g. in articulated, argued, analytical and synthetic articles in scholarly and professional publications,
  • prepare, implement and manage technical, analytical and research work designed to provide comprehensive answers to research questions,
  • address problems successfully and comprehensively in a professionally sound manner.

Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students may enrol in the second year if they have completed all first-year course units, and may enrol in the third year if they have completed all first- and second-year course units.

In order to complete the programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the study programme.
