The qualification holder is be able to:
- demonstrate mastery of research methodology and carry out independent research,
- demonstrate autonomy in professional work and research,
- demonstrate autonomy in decision-making,
- identify scientifically interesting topics,
- adopt a critical attitude and show responsibility in matters relating to their profession,
- engage in scholarly activity, write and present own scholarly work,
- demonstrate creativity,
- search for new sources of knowledge in the relevant professional and academic field,
- undertake constant study (lifelong learning).
Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
n order to progress to the second year, students must have completed at least 48 of the total 60 credits; in order to progress to the third year, students must have completed 120 credits.
In order to complete the programme, students must complete 180 credits, i.e. pass all examinations (30 credits), complete the individual research prescribed by the programme (90 credits), complete research seminar units (30 credits) and successfully defend a doctoral dissertation (30 credits).
